“Don’t let them think that we’ve broken down; That we’ve cracked up.
We merely dropped leaves, For a further spring.” ~Rumi

Empowerment through Individual Therapy

When everything falls apart you are not alone. Often reaching out for help can be the first step in renewing, replenishing, and revitalizing your life. Psychotherapy is one way to gain the strength and support you need.

Many of us suffer quietly with feelings of hopelessness and loss. Therapy can bring life back into focus and helps us regain our sense of balance.

I feel strongly in using an evidence-based approach to therapy; by this I mean that the theories and techniques I utilize have been scientifically shown to reduce emotional distress. Mindfulness-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are the most effective approaches to mental health. I have studied, practiced, and taught these approaches for more than a decade and agree with research studies that support that Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy help improve our sense of well being. This is the time to make a commitment to yourself to overcome feelings of inadequacy, guilt, fear, shame, and abandonment.
